Roast Peanuts | Njugu Karanga

Hey there šŸ‘‹

Here’s a quick & easy method to roast peanuts at home. The results are perfectly crunchy peanuts in minutes. Approximately 10-15 Min of cooking.

I personally like this method because;

  • It only takes 10-15 minutes to cook šŸ˜Š
  • The peanuts rarely burn when cooking ; That is, if you set the right temperature & place them on the right tier in the oven. You can actually go about your business as they cook.
  • I don’t have to keep turning them over in a pan/sufuria while roasting. I am very unlucky at this method they always burn or cook unevenly.
  • All the peanuts cook evenly hustle free. šŸ˜Š
  • I can cook in bulk in the shortest time šŸ˜Ž

**Quick Tip**
šŸ„œ I find the middle tier the best for roasting.
šŸ„œ Don’t keep/soak the Peanuts in water for too long or else they might become soggy. The salty water helps the Peanuts absorb the salt easily.
šŸ„œ When you are done cooking some peanuts may be soft.. Don’t worry!! They will cook as they cool down.

Let`s begin;

INGREDIENTS

  • Raw peanuts
  • 1 Tablespoons of Salt ( or as required)
  • Water

METHOD

Watch the Video Recipe;

  • Step 1: Sort the Peanuts
  • Step 2: Add water in a bowl add the Peanuts + Salt.
  • Step 3: Mix for 30 seconds and drain the Water
  • Step 4: Pour everything into a baking tray. Bake for 10-15 minutes max @180Ā° C
  • NB ** Some peanuts may be still soft.. Don’t worry!! They’ll cook as they cool.**

Enjoy.
